Dr. Tzu-Hao “Howard” Lee is a gastroenterologist, transplant hepatologist and assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He was born and raised in Taiwan and completed his medical training at Duke. Dr. Lee’s academic interests include viral hepatitis, liver transplantation, and health disparities, with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ population. Dr. Lee is the chair of the LGBTQ subcommittee of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), executive board member of Rainbows in Gastro, and member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, and Access to Life (IDEAL) Committee of the American Society of Transplant (AST).
