Dr. Sudha Kodali is a transplant hepatologist with a specialized focus in liver cancer and liver transplantation for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and other complex indications. She practices a strongly multidisciplinary approach, working collaboratively with transplant surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and psychiatrists to provide comprehensive, patient centered care. As the Medical Director of the Hepatocellular Cancer Program at the Sherrie and Alan Conover Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation, she leads clinical and programmatic initiatives and runs a dedicated weekly clinic for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. Dr. Kodali is actively involved in multiple committees and professional societies at local, national, and international levels, and she serves as the Medical Director of the GI Module for the Texas A&M EnMed (Engineering & Medicine) Program. She collaborates closely with colleagues at MD Anderson Cancer Center to advance clinical care and research. In addition, she is the Chairperson of Community Engagement Committee at the Methodist Transplant Center, where she works to promote equitable access, inclusive practices, and representation within the transplant community. Dr. Kodali received her medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences in India, completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Austin, and pursued Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowships at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also earned a Master of Science in Public Health.
